arrived at the 'bird

It was a long night of travel, but we made it to the Iron Blosam lodge at 2am. It was unusual to be flying in so late at night, but nice and chill too. SLC airport was totally empty except for the folks on our plane. Sleep was good.

We awoke to an empty mountain, and less snow than I've seen at Snowbird in 6 years! But despite the lack of pow pow to fall in to, it was still better than the best day out east (no offence Dan and Jason). But maaaa-ahn are we all out of shape. A 3 hour half day was enough to turn all our legs to jello as we hobbled back to IB324 and in to the hot tub for a soak.

Masako got a killer ding in her board. In fact, none of us came out unscathed. Since no one got me any board waxing stuff for Christmas, I guess I'll have to fork out some cash on some supplies. If not, I don't think our boards will stand a chance this week... Hope for snow on Thursday... Pray for the Pow.
